Ulu Yoga Style
This course is suitable for both beginners and intermediate practitioners. You don’t need a high level of strength, flexibility or experience. Some people take this course for a fun retreat, some to deepen their personal practice, and others to become a professional yoga instructor.
Yoga Practice
ULU Yoga offers the perfect balance of structured yoga training and life changing experience in paradise.
Each morning begins with a two hour guided class of hatha or vinyasa yoga, which includes pranayama and meditation, options for beginner and intermediate levels, hands on adjustments, and a follow up feedback session.
One class is held on the beach, giving you a chance to connect with nature and enjoy the gorgeous turquoise waters and limestone cliffs.
Pranayama & Meditation
In Meditation you will learn various techniques including vipassana meditation, mantra meditation, trataka, walking, gratitude, trauma release and yoga nidra.
In Pranayama you will learn Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing), Kapalabhati (skull shining breath), Bhramari (humming bee), Ujjayi (victory breath), Bhastrika (fire breath).
Asana Lab
Each day you will receive detailed instruction on core hatha yoga asanas to build a solid foundation.
Learn correct alignment, technique, variations for different levels, and modifications with props.
You also learn to connect poses with breath and movement to build creative vinyasa flow sequences.
Asana Lab re-examines the roots of asana form and function on a much deeper level by integrating their energetic and biomechanic components to improve alignment and technique.
Yin, Ashtanga
Each day you will receive a special workshop to deepen your practice and provide you with a dynamic skillset.
Yin yoga, yoga nidra and restorative yoga help you to relieve stress, break up scar tissue, and promote healing through fascia release, as well as letting go of stored trauma.
Ashtanga yoga serves as a bridge between hatha and vinyasa yoga by providing a structured set sequence.
Teaching Skills
ULU Yoga is very proud of having a high success rate of producing quality yoga instructors.
Practice teaching everyday to gain confidence. Learn teaching skills, teaching methodology and class design.
Teach a 75 min class every week and receive detailed feedback to grow and develop professionally.
Anatomy
Each week you will have one or two anatomy workshops.
Gain a deeper understanding of bodily systems, structures.
Learn the principles underlying movement and of yoga itself.
Learn about bones, muscles, fascia, joints and nervous system.
Explore how this all works together in special hands adjustments and biomechanic workshops.

Online Studies
As a special bonus, you’ll receive free access to our 200hr online course. This course has 100 hours of required online study. This allows you to prepare in advance, review materials after your training, and even make up for any onsite hours you may miss through additional online studies.
Online and onsite instructors may differ, so revisiting lessons can provide valuable new insights. The online content offers more in-depth philosophy and anatomy with some required reading, while the onsite training is more physical, hands-on, and interactive. If you miss onsite sessions, you can make up for them online. You’ll have 2 years to complete everything, and a chat group is available for instructor support during your online studies.
